I decided to let anyone know, who is interested, about my life. Yes, lots of people have views and opinions. They read a one-sided story in the press and make up their minds.
So read what really happened, it’s up to you.
Any profit from any sale will go to a local hospice.
Let him Without Sin is part one of a trilogy with part two available in Sept/ Oct 2022 and part three due out in early 2023.
In 2017 I went to Liverpool Court.
On the first day I had to enter a plea, my solicitor never turned up to advise and, stupidly, for a lesser sentence I entered a plea of guilty, even though I had 6 witnesses.
On a police taped interview, the police claimed I was 12 years old at the time of the alleged incidents.
We now know who the real babysitter was, but because of British law, unless you plead not guilty and have a trial there is nothing you can do.
Never accept a plea bargain to alter the decision!

Fundraising
For over 40 years john Beirne has been raising money for various causes such as:
- Organised over 10 choir festivals in aid of Willowbrook Hospice and Mayors Charity.
- Sent chocolate to children in Beslen
- £1300 raised for UNICEF Ukraine
- Raised cash for Tsunami
- Over £50,000 raised for Willowbrook Hospice
- Elton John’s Aids Foundation
- And many local churches
Thank you to everyone who came and took part in our concert for UNICEF Ukraine 2022, a fantastic £1300 was raised.
John has appeared on BBC1 Weakest link and Eggheads
Also a fundraiser at URC Church Peasley Cross and raised £150 and New Street Methodist Church April 22 raised £100
Political Achievements
Most people can’t even name or know who their local councillor is! Yet when I was a local councillor for over 20 years everyone knew me. I could name over a dozen families from any street I represented.
I never disappeared when elected as so many so-called councillors now do.
What did you do as a councillor?
Was a question I was once asked, so here is a list:
- Brought forward a rolling programme for the adoption of rear entries.
- Slept outside Parkside Pit when closure announced.
- Organised and led the Bedroom Tax protest.
- Petitioned against New Street and Sutton libraries closures.
- Led the protest against toxic waste being dumped in St Helens.
- Petitioned and protested against four waste disposal sites.
- Part of the New Street regeneration scheme.
- Part of the Sutton Village initiative.
- Forwarded a council motion against war in Iraq.
- Attended hundreds of residence meetings and dealt with personal complaints, action and response.
- Delivered hundreds of newsletters with address and phone number on all year round.
- 3 times elected for Marshalls Cross ward St Helens M.B.C.
- 3 times elected for Town Centre ward St Helens M.B.C.
- Former PLC for St Helens North (Lib Dems)
- Former PLC for St Helens South (UKIP)
Celebration Choir continue to meet every Wednesday at URC Church (Peasley Cross) St Helens and welcome new members. We raise money for Willowbrook Hospice and other worthy causes. In 2022 we sang at St Aidens church, URC church, New Street Methodist church and St Helens Alzheimer’s Group.
John is currently planning a choir festival for later in the year. Can John really sing?
John has released five CDs in aid of charity.
